A big shout out to mon_tt11 and all the hard work she has been putting in over the last couple of months. The improvement and the confidence is starting to show. If i have a gift in my abilities to work with players , that is without question my constant ability to help kids believe in who they can become, to not be embarrassed when told by someone “hey , you are actually really talented and should put in the work to see how far you can go” Because today, sadly far too many adults will only give a kid credit if they can take credit. Instead of understanding that as mentors , we need to feed their souls with self belief, self worth and permission to want to be successful at the things they love. They dont quite believe you at first , its hard for young athletes to understand sometimes that when you have humility , are genuine, and you don’t take yourself too seriously, that it is ok to start thinking differently🤔 .. to say to yourself “yeah you know what ?
