Sometimes the hardest part of trauma isn't what happened. It's talking about it. Opening up about painful experiences can feel overwhelming, which is why so many people convince themselves they'll deal with it later. I know because I did exactly that. I postponed therapy sessions. I avoided parts of my story. I told myself I was managing. But avoiding trauma doesn't make it disappear. Often it shows up in other ways: irritability, anger, sleep difficulties, disconnection, or challenges in our relationships. Healing doesn't require sharing everything at once. Sometimes it begins with a conversation. Sometimes it begins with telling one trusted person how you're really doing. What's something you've learned about healing that you wish you'd known sooner? #MentalHealth #TraumaRecovery #HealingJourney #Therapy #EmotionalWellbeing
