WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long is high on LA Knight. Speaking on his podcast Road Trip After Hours with co-host Mac Davis, the former SmackDown general manager named Knight as a current star he gravitates toward, saying, "I always told you I love LA Knight. I'm telling you, man, the guy's got something." Long added that he sees Knight as someone who could "certainly be that guy," while admitting he wasn't sure what has held him back. When Davis brought up the criticism that Knight relies too much on catchphrases, and compared it to how The Rock built his career, Long didn't see a problem with it. "This is entertainment.
