June 28, 1998. WWF King of the Ring. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Undertaker faced Mankind in the second Hell in a Cell match in WWF history. The Undertaker threw Mankind off the top of the 16 foot cell through the announce table below. Jim Ross called it with the line “Good God almighty, they’ve killed him.” Mankind climbed back to the top. The roof of the cell then gave way and he fell through to the mat. A steel chair landed on his face. In the main event, Kane defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin in a First Blood match to win the WWF Championship following interference from The Undertaker and Mankind. Ken Shamrock won the King of the Ring tournament by defeating The Rock in the finals. Today marks 28 years since the match. #WWE #Undertaker #MickFoley #HellInACell #OnThisDate
