Hillsboro residents donning star-spangled T-shirts and red-striped hats filled the sidewalks near the city’s downtown Saturday to celebrate Independence Day with the Rotary Club’s annual parade. A hundred parade floats, and a procession of horses, carried high schoolers, business leaders, community members and city officials along the 2 ½-mile route.
