Usually, Portland sees a rash of restaurants and bars closing in midwinter, when businesses face several months of miserable weather after the holidays with only Valentine’s Day likely to draw a crowd. But this year, the closures seem to be clustered in late spring. Over the past two months, at least 10 restaurants and bars have closed or announced plans to close in the next few weeks. The list includes bars and barbecue spots with decades of local history between them, several notable brunch spots and a 50-year-old steakhouse teetering on the brink.
