The Dodgers didn’t wait until the Fourth of July for fireworks. After falling behind 6-0 and watching Roki Sasaki struggle through one of his toughest outings of the season, the Dodgers answered with 12 unanswered runs to stun the Padres 12-7. Despite Sasaki allowing six earned runs in three innings, the offense completely took over. Dalton Rushing finished a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored, Kyle Tucker stayed red hot by reaching base in nine consecutive plate appearances, and the Dodgers bullpen shut the door with five scoreless innings. The comeback also widened the Dodgers’ lead in the NL West to 13 games, while the Padres suffered their first loss in six years after leading by six runs. Plus, Shohei Ohtani returns to the mound tomorrow after having his start pushed back two days. ⚾ Do you think the Dodgers are the best team in baseball?
