Pharmacist here 👋 and your patchy self tan is a chemistry problem, not a you problem. Here’s the fix. 👇
1️⃣ Skip straight glycolic acid. It’s an acid, it strips too aggressively and leaves you streaky. Use glycolic in a lotion base so it only lifts the dead cells and leaves the healthy ones alone. ✨
2️⃣ Rough spots build up extra keratin. Elbows, knees, chicken skin, strawberry legs. Salicylic acid is oil soluble so it actually gets into those spots and clears the buildup. Just those areas, not everywhere. 🦵
3️⃣ Tan, rinse the first layer, then seal with a multi lipid moisturizer. Healthy hydrated skin cells hold color way longer than dry flaky ones. That’s why your tan usually fades in 3 days. 💧
Prep, tan, seal. Little bit of skin science and you glow instead of streak. 🙌
