A parasitic infection that causes "explosive diarrhea" is spreading across the U.S., with hundreds of cases reported in over a dozen states, including a major outbreak in the Midwest. The CDC reported in June that 145 cases of cyclosporiasis have been confirmed in people in the U.S. Another 45 people were sickened while traveling outside the United States.
