Last night over Detroit Lakes, Minnesota my friend David and I pulled off to shoot some lightning over the lake. After about 15 minutes of setting up, I looked off to our Northwestern, horizon and noticed this weird, cirrus type look in the sky. But, it was unlike an cirrus I had seen before. It had this vibrant hue of colors and I turned to David and said “I think, those are those rare Noctilucent Clouds” and lost my mind once my camera shutter stopped and they were revealed! These are caused when water vapor freezes around microscopic particles of space in the mesosphere AND I combined it with the lightning! #minnesota #minnesotalife #noctilucentclouds #sony #earth
