The most misunderstood term in all of dog training Many think the term insinuates harshness annd brings to mind big yanks shaking your fist at a dog. But in actuality all it is, is applying pressure (i.e., leash pull) until a dog performs the desired behavior, then releasing it. The release creates an overall net positive feeling. And it’s highly effective communication. The dog learns exactly what’s being asked of him/her and that a positive feeling will come one once they do it. This happens in our own lives all the time. Sometimes it’s social pressure, sometimes it’s financial pressure, sometimes it’s physical discomfort. If you want to train your dog with us, come to our location in Glyndon, Maryland!
