Footage from grit2green shows a plane collecting water from Roosevelt Lake to help fight wildfires burning in Arizona. ✈️💧
These aircraft can skim across the water and scoop roughly 1,600 gallons in seconds before heading back toward the fire.
A second video also shows a helicopter pulling water near Sedona as crews continue battling the Pocket Fire, which started June 19 about 7 miles north of Sedona.
According to recent updates, the fire has grown to thousands of acres with 0% containment, forcing closures and evacuation alerts in parts of the Oak Creek Canyon / Coconino National Forest area.
