Tilden Houses we outcha! 3 months in the works have built to tomorrow’s celebration of Brownsville’s newly refurbished and revitalized basketball court. We began this journey leading in-person design sessions with residents of all ages (literally). Hundreds cast their vote in a court that nods to the legacy of 7 world champion boxers who emanated from this community. With inspiration from abstract expressionism, court artists and technicians used brooms and squeegees to mimic waves, bringing a truly unique, vibrant and needed court back to life. So without further ado we invite Hoopbus family and the Tilden Community to the grand celebration tomorrow, Sunday June 28th, for a day of unity, hoops and good vibes - where we will pass the belt to the next champion in our NYC 3x3 series.
