America’s national parks are facing the most severe funding shortfalls in a generation.
Meanwhile, this Fourth of July, President Donald Trump is throwing himself a lavish party — paid for with $90 million he raided from America's national parks.
After slashing park budgets and cutting a quarter of the NPS workforce, Trump is funneling millions in park entrance fees into ornamental vanity projects in Washington, D.C. — like the $14-million Reflecting Pool resurfacing project.
Meanwhile at parks across the country, entrance lines stretch for hours, wildlife are losing lifesaving protections, trash cans are overflowing, and infrastructure is crumbling.
It's time for Congress to step in.
Tell the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to fully fund the National Park Service and hold Trump accountable for diverting national park entrance fees to bankroll his self-serving ventures. ➡️
