We met at 6:00 a.m. and hiked 6.5 miles through the desert, wrapping up before the temperature climbed toward 100°. Month after month, we show up. Not because it's easy. Not because we're paid. We show up because no one else is searching. 🚨 Every mile we walk asks the same question: Where are the agencies responsible for finding the missing and investigating the dead? More than 300 people have been found dead in this region over the last five years. Among those identified by gender, 55% are women—roughly three times the percentage typically seen elsewhere along the border. Women have been found side by side.
