🚨 130 women. One county. One question: Why hasn't there been a full investigation? This image is symbolic, but the issue is very real. In recent years, more than 130 women and teenage girls have been found dead in southern Doña Ana County, New Mexico. Many of these deaths were classified as exposure. Yet volunteers and community members continue to document patterns that deserve closer scrutiny: women found side by side, repeated recovery locations, incomplete recoveries, and human remains still being found at sites long after they were reported. For nearly three years, Battalion Search & Rescue has walked these deserts as unpaid volunteers. We have returned to more than 20 previously reported recovery sites and found additional human remains at every one. We're not asking anyone to jump to conclusions.
