Tickets for the 2026 World Cup are so expensive that FIFA might leave many unsold. The cheapest tickets that were made available cost $60 — and were offered in limited supply. The average seat at the final costs nearly $11,000, dwarfing the price of attending any World Cup prior. And the most expensive seat at the final reportedly costs nearly $33,000, as of May 2026. Football has long been thought of as the sport of the common person, but with these prices, the elite are really the only football fans who can afford to attend. And so, the World Cup has become just another symptom of global income inequality. If football is really the "world’s game," who can still afford to be part of it? #WorldCup #Inequality #Inflation Subscribe for more videos: ajplus.co/subscribe Follow us on Instagram: instagram.com/ajplus Like us on Facebook: facebook.com/ajplusenglish Follow us on Twitter: twitter.com/ajplus
