Carlo Ancelotti was brought in to manage Brazil because of his excellent record in tournaments and due to his history of managing lots of star players. Ancelotti's Brazil were just eliminated by Norway, a team that hasn't been in the World Cup since 1998, and failed to reach the quarterfinals for the first time since 1990.
