Kevin Baugh (republicofmolossia ) is the founder and President of the Republic of Molossia (9/3/99 - present), a claimed micronation of 6.3 acres in the US next to his home in Dayton, Nevada. Then known as The Grand Republic of Vuldstein, Molossia was born in 1977 as a childhood project for then-teenage Baugh and close friend James Spielman. Today it’s three properties owned by Baugh in Nevada. It even has its own languages, English and Esperanto (“the international language”) and currency — based on cookie dough — despite remaining unrecognized, by the United Nations or any other major governments, as a country. #countries #nations
