Top tip for Hyrox training You probably think I’m going to say… “Run more.” And yes, running is incredibly important. But if I could go back to the beginning of my Hyrox journey, I’d do one thing differently. I’d master the skills of every station first. I’d learn: How to Ski Erg efficiently. How to push and pull the sled. How to move through burpee broad jumps. How to row with great mechanics. How to cycle wall balls. Because your technique becomes the foundation for everything else. If you build fitness on top of poor movement, you’ll always waste energy. But if you master the mechanics early… Every bit of fitness you gain becomes more valuable. Your ceiling gets higher. That’s why I believe beginners should spend just as much time learning the movements as they do improving their engine. Running will make you better.
