Canada will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2027.   They will join a list of non-European countries to take part in the contest, including the likes of Australia, the last country to join, in 2015.   From Celine Dion - who won Eurovision for Switzerland in the 1980s - to Avril Lavigne, Canada’s never been a country to lack musical talent.   But Canada enter at a turbulent time for the song contest, with a number of countries boycotting the competition last year over Israel’s participation.   According to organisers, Canada will debut at next year’s semi-finals in Bulgaria.   Tap the link in BBCNews’s bio to read more about Canada joining Eurovision.   (Getty)   #Canada #Eurovision #BBCNews
