This might be the coolest hotel we found in Mexico City!! Hidden behind an unmarked door in Roma Norte sits CasaTenue.MX , one of the neighborhood’s oldest surviving homes, originally built in 1904. Over the last century, it has lived many lives as a private residence, art studio, a community center, and even an artist residency before being restored into the intimate 8 room boutique hotel it is today. Our room on the top floor was so cozy with an outdoor tub which was a dream! There are no signs out front, no crowds in the lobby, just quiet luxury, beautiful design, and contemporary Mexican art tucked inside one of the city’s best kept secrets. Oh and they have mezcal sitting out for you whenever you’d like, coffee at all times, pastries from the renowned bakery Panaderia Rosetta every morning and a self serve bar is set out at 4 pm everyday!
