Ottawa is set for one of its hottest Canada Days in DECADES & it happens to be on CANADA DAY‼️🥵☀️🇨🇦 Environment Canada has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for Ottawa, with the hottest conditions expected on Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures could reach 35–36°C, while the humidex may make it feel as hot as 47°C. Overnight lows between 21°C and 25°C will provide little relief, and air quality may also deteriorate as the heat continues. If Ottawa reaches 36°C, it would be one of the hottest Canada Days in decades, coming within just over 1°C of the city’s all-time Canada Day record of 37.2°C, set back in 1931. Residents are urged to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged time outdoors during peak heat, wear light clothing, and check in on older adults, those living alone, and other vulnerable people.
