Freedom looks different to everyone. 🐕🦺 For Caleb, who lives with connective tissue and nervous system disorders, it looks like a yellow Labrador named West.
Service Dog West retrieves Caleb’s medicine bag, brings him water when he needs it and assists him when his energy is low. West seems to know what Caleb needs before he does.
"West always seems to be one step ahead of me,” Caleb says. “Whether it’s positioning himself to help me stand up, retrieving something before I even think to ask, or providing comfort when he senses I need it."
This kind of partnership brings true independence.
Caleb is one of thousands of proud Canine Companions graduates. But thousands of Americans with disabilities are waiting for a life-changing
#servicedog to enhance their independence.
