One of my favorite parts of hosting workshops is seeing who walks through the door. Every person comes with a different story. Different experiences. Different goals. Some photographers are getting back into shooting after stepping away for a while. Some are looking to strengthen their skills. Some are picking up studio lighting for the first time. But everyone comes with the same mindset: wanting to learn, create, and grow. June’s In Studio workshop at studio3knyc was focused on understanding studio lighting and building confidence behind the camera. What makes these workshops special to me isn’t just the images that are created. It’s the conversations, the questions, the encouragement, and seeing photographers learn from each other throughout the day.
