Boston Celtics fans are not happy. The Celtics traded NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown for Paul George. Boston allegedly entered negotiations asking the Philadelphia 76ers for VJ Edgecombe, Paul George, FIVE first-round picks, and additional assets. But somehow walked away with basically just Paul George and a couple of picks. The funniest part isn’t even that Jaylen Brown got traded. It’s that the Sixers held onto VJ Edgecombe, avoided surrendering a massive haul of draft capital, kept much of their future intact, and still landed one of the best two-way wings in basketball who’s entering his prime.
