Selling one Pokémon card means a listing, a description, photos, and a social post. Joe Birch (hitherejoe), a staff engineer here at Buffer, had over 1,000 to sell. So he built a Mac app that runs the whole process: 📸 He photographs cards in batches and drops a zip into the app 🃏 Claude reads each card — name, set, rarity, edition, condition 🛒 The listing goes live on his store via the WooCommerce API 📣 The Buffer API queues a post for every card, timed for when buyers are online The social step is the part most sellers skip, and it’s the one that matters most. Card collectors don’t hunt marketplaces — they spot a card in their feed and click through. A listing nobody sees doesn’t sell. The tally so far: 1,310 products listed, 1,000+ posts in his Buffer queue, and about $20 in total AI costs. The full build breakdown on the blog, including his takeaways for selling anything physical. Link in bio 🔗 #BufferAPI #socialmediaautomation #SentWithBuffer
