The Fresno County Sheriff's Department, Fresno Police, Clovis Police, Mariposa County Sheriff's Department, and Merced County Sheriff's Department gathered to hold a procession for K-9 Santi. A private memorial was held at the Fresno Pet Cemetery. Santi served the Fresno County Sheriff's Department for four years. He was killed after being hit by a car on Independence Day.
