Drivers across California will pay more at the pump, as the state increases excise taxes on gasoline and diesel.
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration announced that California’s gas and diesel taxes increased on July 1.
The gasoline excise tax will rise to 63.4 cents per gallon, up from 61.2 cents per gallon, which is one portion of the state’s total tax on gas.
