🛰️ Three satellites just reached orbit, and they’re watching for wildfires. Earlier this morning, the first three FireSat satellites launched into orbit, marking the beginning of a new space-based wildfire detection system designed to help identify fires in near real time. FireSat was built for one purpose: finding wildfires faster, no matter where they start. These first three satellites now enter a commissioning and calibration phase, with about three months of testing before the data starts flowing to fire agencies like ours.
