Today, on National Black Women in Sports Day, I’m reflecting on how much this journey has meant to me. Growing up, I didn’t always see many people who looked like me in the spaces I dreamed of being in. As a Black woman in sports, every opportunity I’ve had, whether on the ice, behind the camera, on the sidelines, or in the press box, has reinforced the importance of representation. Being a Black woman in this industry has taught me to lead with confidence, embrace my perspective, and create space for others to see what is possible. It is a reminder that our stories, our voices, and our creativity belong in every corner of sports. I am incredibly grateful to the women who paved the way before me and inspired me to dream bigger. I hope to continue breaking barriers, telling meaningful stories, and helping open doors for the next generation. 🖤 #blackwomeninsportsday
