🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨   The UK’s oldest Avocet has smashed the previous record - again!   First ringed back in 1990, the Avocet just set a new national record after turning 36 years old on the 2nd July. Which is more than five times the average lifespan for the species!   Recently seen at RSPB Middleton Lakes, the success of the individual highlights just how important our nature reserves are for the species and other wildlife.
