Before he was president, George H.W. Bush was among the nation’s youngest naval aviators during World War II, risking his life in service to his country. He held a deep respect for the values embodied by Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, recognizing a shared commitment to service, humility, duty and character.
The Corps, in turn, inducted him into its Hall of Honor, a rare distinction for someone who did not serve as a Corps member.
