I first heard Abel Aguilera around 25 years ago at an Alegria party at Sound Factory in NYC, during the golden years. That night completely changed my perspective on music and on what it meant to be a DJ. From that moment on, he became my number 1 and a huge source of inspiration.
Who would have thought that a jíbaro from Bayamón, Puerto Rico would one day share lineups and play the same events as the world-renowned—and my favorite DJ—Abel Aguilera?
Dreams do come true. It takes hard work, dedication, and years of staying the course—but it is possible.
This memory is from 2013, playing for our dear friend Rafael Sanchez from Gay Mafia Boston, and our legendary friend Chris Harris, who unfortunately is no longer with us.
I know Chris would be happy and proud of Rafael for continuing the legacy, and proud of us as well—for continuing to grow, evolve, and work hard to keep our brands alive and thriving.
I love you, Abel. I love you Rafael. I love you Chris 💙
