The Volunteer Zambia 2026 Group One cohort has officially been welcomed to Zambia and is ready to begin eight weeks of community engagement alongside Sport in Action coaches.
Speaking during the induction at the British High Commission, Deputy High Commissioner Jason Trann encouraged the volunteers to embrace the experience, saying, "Zambia is a beautiful country," and wished the cohort success and enjoyment throughout their placement.
Sport in Action Executive Director Frankson Mushindu emphasized the purpose behind the programme, stating, "Our main goal is the young people in the communities. We supplement government efforts by running programmes that are beneficial to young people through sport for development and sport development."
Together, we continue to use sport as a tool to create opportunities, build stronger communities and empower young people.
