Cover Your Bases and Learn About Brain Aneurysms! The Maine Brain Aneurysm Awareness Committee (MBAAC) partners again with the Portland Sea Dogs for a year-long community engagement at Hadlock Field. With an average of 6,000 spectators at the Sea Dogs’ 69 home games, the 8 x 16’ billboard banner reaches a substantial audience. Approximately 1 in 50 Americans will develop a brain aneurysm in their lifetime. Over 40,000 people in the U.S. suffer a ruptured brain aneurysm annually, with nearly half succumbing. Only a third of survivors recover without permanent disabilities.
