Happy 250th to the country that I literally skateboarded across. You are 3,656 miles of beauty. You might have a crazy man in office who has really bad taste in pools and decor, but at the end of the day he is not America. America is the amazing people who stopped on the side of the road to see if I was okay, the people who let us into their homes, the people who skated with me, the people who donated, the people who cheered me on along the way, and the people who bought me shoes when I needed them. America you are what taught me to dream big, you are the reason I might be mildly delusional and believe that I can do anything I put my mind to. We might not have free healthcare and women’s rights are something we need to have a chat about … but good things come in due time.
