Trump spent two years on the campaign trail saying he would protect "Black jobs." The June jobs report just told a very different story. Black unemployment stands at 6.6%. White unemployment stands at 3.6%. Employers added just 57,000 jobs in June, and payroll gains for April and May were revised down by a combined 74,000 jobs. Behind those numbers are real people. Black women with degrees and years of experience submitting hundreds of applications. Piecing together consulting gigs and freelance work. Doing everything they were told would lead to stability. Still waiting.
