England pacer Jofra Archer believes bowling in English conditions feels like a return to traditional cricket after the batter-friendly pitches and smaller boundaries of the Indian Premier League.
Archer’s comments came after England’s dominant 125-run win over India in the 3rd T20I at Trent Bridge, where India were bowled out for just 76 while chasing 202. Archer played a key role with figures of 3/29, while Josh Tongue claimed four wickets.
The England speedster said that in the IPL, bowlers have to be extremely accurate because of flat wickets and short boundaries, but in England there is more room for traditional bowling plans.
Archer also highlighted his battle with young Indian batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, after the teenager hit him for a six on debut before Archer responded by dismissing him in the next game.
