complete Molar pregnancy/Hydatid mole ↘️ 🖥️ USG features are ↘️↘️ First, the uterus is often enlarged for the gestational age. Second, the uterine cavity contains an echogenic intrauterine mass with multiple tiny cystic spaces, typically without any fetal parts or an embryo. This characteristic appearance is often described as the “snowstorm” or “bunch of grapes” sign. Keep in mind that less than half of complete molar pregnancies are diagnosed during the first trimester. In early pregnancy, the ultrasound findings may be subtle and can even resemble a normal early pregnancy or an empty gestational sac, making careful follow-up essential. Another important associated finding is the presence of bilateral theca lutein cysts in the ovaries, caused by markedly elevated β-hCG levels. On Color Doppler, the molar tissue typically demonstrates high-velocity, low-resistance vascular flow, reflecting its increased vascularity. #medicalstudent #radiologyresident #radiodiagnosis #usg #sonop...
