Highlands Vista Group replied to 7NEWS' request for comment and shared an update on conditions at Park Square Apartment Homes in Spartanburg. A spokesperson said two new HVAC systems were delivered Tuesday to residents without air conditioning. Multiple tenants previously told 7NEWS they had been without AC for periods ranging from two weeks to four months. The representative said there were "only a few" units that lost their air conditioning, and the residents who filed maintenance requests "instantly" received temporary fixes, like window AC units. Despite having air conditioning again, one tenant said he still plans to move out because he believes management waited too long to address the problem. "It could’ve been handled without having to go through all this," he said.
