America’s founding was born of revolution against oppressive rule, a continuous thread that runs through all 250 years since, carried by generations who faced oppression and those still living with its consequences today. This 250th anniversary, we choose to remember: families separated at our borders, rights narrowed and undone, a rule of law that too often protects power over people. This Fourth of July, we, the members of Chi Upsilon Sigma, National Latin Sorority, Inc. reaffirm our commitment to the liberation we will continue to fight for.
