Peter Larson is no stranger to T. Rexes. As the founder and president of the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research in South Dakota, he has excavated two of the most significant T. Rex specimens ever discovered, including Sue, sold by Sotheby’s in 1997. Now, he's bringing another find to #SothebysNewYork: a full Tyrannosaurus Rex leg. Comprising six bones, the specimen rivals some of the largest known examples. Estimated between $1-2 million, the sale of the leg will benefit the new Natural History Museum of the Black Hills.
