The Hillsboro Hops continue to be on the edge of breaking out of their current slump, but the bats have just not produced in key moments. The Hops dropped their sixth straight game and fifth straight to the Spokane Indians on the Fourth of July, losing 1-0 at the Hillsboro Hops Ballpark. The Hops had runners in scoring positions in five innings, including a bases loaded situation in the bottom of the ninth, but could not get the hits to bring their teammates home. Starting pitcher Caden Grice and reliever Kyle Ayers put in solid performances allowing only two Spokane hits and accumulating twelve strikeouts.
