One long running Harvard study following nearly 32,000 men found that those reporting 21 or more ejaculations per month had a lower risk of being diagnosed with prostate cancer than men reporting 4 to 7 per month. Scientists do not know the exact mechanism, but regular ejaculation may help clear prostatic fluid, reduce inflammation, or remove potentially harmful substances. However, this was an observational study, so it shows an association rather than proving that frequent ejaculation directly prevents prostate cancer.
