Crafting the #Jacquemus Look 17 from the « Le Bonheur » collection, featuring the « Bandeau Pietra » and « La Jupe Alta ». Crafted in bonded crepe and silk mousseline, the silhouette is embellished with the "Rayures Surpiqûres" embroidery, inspired by the timeless stripes of the marinière. Turquoise, deep navy and dark grey cords are applied using a corded stitch technique. Two cords are guided simultaneously through the sewing machine and secured with a topstitch executed at a reduced speed. Each stripe is finished with a handmade lock stitch before the threads are cut, ensuring a precise and refined finish. The corded stitch lends a subtle relief to the surface of the fabric, creating a textured striped pattern while preserving its lightness and fluidity.
