Alabama controlled the game from start to finish. Leigh Tiffin opened the scoring with a 48-yard field goal, and Mark Ingram punched in a 7-yard touchdown run to make it 9-0 in the first quarter. Florida answered with a Tim Tebow touchdown pass to David Nelson to cut it to 12-10, but Ingram scored again on a 3-yard run to push the lead back to 19-10.
