This humanoid robot is starting to look almost too human...
UBTech has introduced the UWORLD U1, a realistic humanoid robot built for companionship as the consumer robotics industry continues to grow. The robot comes in Lite, Pro, and Ultra versions, featuring silicone-based skin, AI-powered conversations, emotional recognition, and local data processing designed to enhance privacy.
The U1 is being developed for use cases including companionship, emotional assistance, elder care, hospitality, and education. UBTech says the robot can understand emotional cues, adapt through previous interactions, and create more natural conversations over time.
According to the company, the U1 Series has already received more than 13,361 orders, showing the increasing interest in AI-powered humanoid robots as the industry moves closer to everyday consumer adoption.
