Hogan required the undefeated Goldberg to first beat Scott Hall earlier in the night, and Goldberg won both matches, finishing the champion with the spear and the Jackhammer in front of his hometown crowd. The show drew 41,412 fans, the largest crowd in WCW history, with around 30,000 tickets sold before the main event was even announced.
