Margaret Hutchinson Rousseau (1910 –2000) was the first woman to become a member of the American Institute of chemical Engineers. She earned a PHD from #MIT in chemical engineering in 1937 (the first woman to do so). During WWII, she helped design one of the first commercial penicillin plants in the US.
